What is a designologue?

A designologue is a conversation between two designers in the medium they understand best - design. Comparisons can be made to Coudal's Photoshop Tennis where two designers alternately modify the others image using Photoshop.

Unlike P'shop Tennis matches, designologues happen over the course of a week or a month and a general theme is agreed upon before starting. Here, concept is king; ego and attitude have a place, but shouldn't play a dominant role in the designologue.

Instead of one designer versus another, the two converse. No winners. No losers. Just good conversation.

Can anyone participate?

Yes, Designologue is open to the public! All you need to participate is an image editing program that can save an image as a .png. You don't need to have a prominent name, a book deal with Friends of Ed or a link on Kaliber10000.

And even if you do, we won't hold it against you.

How do I participate?

Upon registering you become a Registered Member which allows you to post designologue comments, create threads in the 'Lounge and participate in designologues but you may not rate designologue images yet. For that you need to be a Welcomed Member which requires you to complete two screening questions and a one-off designologue. Your responses can be viewed in your member profile and help other members decide if they want to initiate a designologue with you. Once completed you may request a level upgrade.
